Diplomate in the American Board of Implantology

In 2016 Dr. Field received the honor of becoming a Diplomate in the American Board of Implantology (ABOI). This distinction is not easy to come by.

The examination for this title is demanding and intense. Doctors must complete the examination in 4 years, having completed 75 implant cases within 7 years.

The cases submitted must encompass complex implant cases, such as posterior teeth implants and sinus augmentation. Ten of those cases must be intact and successful after a year.

The Doctors are required to show that their work is successful both surgically and restoratively. They must also submit proof of their aftercare efforts. This distinction is about more than the implant surgery itself-it’s about providing patients with treatment and care from start to finish, with results that can last a lifetime.

Dr. Field is a top level expert in dental implant surgery. His place in the ABOI is a source of pride and accomplishment. But what really sets him apart from his peers is his compassionate and sympathetic approach towards his patients. Dr. Field has been known to meet patients at their cars in order to escort them into the office, simply to alleviate anxiety. He is trained to offer sedation dentistry, and healing technologies to hasten up the healing process. He even offers same day implants!
